Styloglossus in the context of the neck

Muscle extending from the ventral and lateral side of the styloid process of the temporal bone and the stylomandibular ligament ventrally and caudally to the tongue, which on the one hand confluences with fibers of the longitudinalis inferior and on the other hand further caudally with the hyoglossus.
