Origin: tuberculum ossis trapezii and retinaculum flexorum
Insertion: radial edge of the os metacarpale I
Innervation: Nervus medianus from Plexus brachialis from C6 to C8 or C8 to Th1 (inconsistant in literature)
Antagonists:
Movement: Adduction and opposition of the thumb
