yogabook / definite yoga
The word definite means things like:
certain, final, definitive, unambiguous, clear, decided, concrete, exactly, binding, precise, firmly outlined, clearly delineated
Hatha yoga in our interpretation is the endeavour to teach posture (and for more advanced performers also movement) as anatomically sound, precise, logical and clear as possible in order to lead the performer to his or her limits in a physiological way and to let him or her work there so that he or she can expand them. This applies to flexibility, strength and strength endurance, coordination, sense of balance and body awareness as well as the inner attitude displayed.
The athlete may notice that the criteria of the definition of „fitness“ are included here. Everyone is given the opportunity to make an effort and strive for improvement according to their own standards, regardless of their physical or mental constitution or the limitations that currently hinder them. Of course, depending on the severity of the disorder, a pupil may be less comfortable in a public class than in private lessons. With customised aids and preliminary exercises, the student will find an individual path to the postures and their benefits and go home at the end of a yoga class feeling not only physically but also mentally well. Where appropriate, we also use functional exercises that do not originate from yoga.
