Definition of

is caused by direct exposure to the sun’s rays, especially on the uncovered head and neck

Cause

  1. Too long unprotected exposure to the sun

Symptoms

  1. severe headache
  2. Nausea
  3. Nausea
  4. Fever
  5. Ringing in the ears
  6. Dizziness
  7. orthostatic collapse
  8. in severe cases coma and generalized convulsions due to increased intracranial pressure (due to serous meningitis and hyperemia of the brain)

Therapy

  1. Raised positioning of the head
  2. Wrap the head in cold, damp cloths
