Pronation and synergist in plantar flexion of the ankle, formerly also called peroneus longus.
Origin: lower outer surface of the fibula
Attachment: metatarsal V
Innervation: Nervus fibularis superficialis (l5-S2) from nervus fibularis communis
Antagonists:
Movement: Plantar flexion and pronation of the ankle
