also called m. perforatus because the tendons run between the tendons of the flexor digitorum longus muscle
Origin: lower front of the calcaneus and proximal plantar aponeurosis
Insertion: medial phalanx of toes 2-4
Innervation: Nervus plantaris medialis from N. tibialis from S1 and S2
Antagonists:
Movement: Plantar flexion of digiti 2-4
