Origin: Lig. plantare longum and tendon sheath of the fibularis longus muscle
Insertion: plantar at the Os metatarsale V
Innervation: Nervus plantaris lateralis, a branch of nervus tibialis
Antagonists:
Movement: Plantar flexion of the lesser toe, tension of the longitudinal arch of the foot
