Scapulohumeral muscle of the shoulder girdle, adductor and weak external rotator of the arm pulling from the inner lower shoulder blade to the upper posterior humerus
Origin: Margo lateralis at the lower outer edge of the shoulder blade
Attachment: Tuberculum majus, posterior humeral head
Innervation: Nervus axillaris from plexus brachialis (C5-C6, sometimes also C4)
Antagonists:
Movement: lateral adduction, external rotation and retroversion of the humerus
