Flexor digitorum longus

the long toe flexor located in the lower leg
Origin: posterior surface of the tibia
Attachment: Base of the distal phalanges of toes 2 – 5
Antagonists:
Innervation: Nervus tibialis with firbes of S1 and S2
Movement: Plantar flexion toes
Strengthening postures (): the toes are typically not pressed to the ground in standing postures. To strengthen the flexor digitorum longum, you must deviate from this rule.
