Origin: Epicondylus medialis humeri and superficial forearm fascia
Attachment: Base of the 2nd and (more rarely) 3rd metacarpal bone
Innervation: Nervus medianus from Plexus brachialis from C5, C6 und C7
Antagonists:
Movement: Palmar flexion and radial abduction of the wrist, weak flexion of the elbow joint and pronation
