M. anconeus
Weak extensor of the elbow joint partially covered by the triceps and pronator of the forearm. It tensions the joint capsule and prevents it from becoming trapped at the olecranon. The m. articularis genus, a division of the quadriceps, performs a similar function on the extensor side of the knee joint.
Origin: Epicondylus lateralis humeri
Attachment: posterior surface of the ulna
Innervation: motor branch of nervus radialis (C6-C8)
